This solid, stable company is currently looking for the right person to join their dynamic team in the role of Corporate Counsel.

Corporate Counsel Responsibilities

• Provide legal support with respect to matters affecting the company, primarily in the areas of contract drafting and negotiation, insurance regulatory compliance, corporate governance, employment law, real estate, and general corporate matters.

• Negotiate, draft, and review contracts involving the business of insurance and reinsurance as well as client, vendor, and general corporate (i.e. confidentiality, employment, real estate, etc.) agreements.

• Research issues of insurance regulation/compliance, respond to inquiries from departments of insurance and senior executives.

• Litigation management in coordination with outside litigation counsel.

• Generally provide services of corporate counsel, including the review of various financial transactions and corporate structure issues.

Corporate Counsel Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas bar preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in the property/casualty insurance industry.
